Important: by downloading, installing, or using Glidesmith, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use the application.
Licence
Glidesmith is free to download and use for recording, editing and previewing, on any Mac you own or control. Exports made without a licence include a small "Made with Glidesmith" watermark and are limited to the first two minutes of the recording. A paid licence, bought through our website as a one-time payment, removes both limits on the number of Macs you purchased it for. Both uses are granted under a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence. You may not resell, share or redistribute licence keys.
Purchases & Refunds
A Glidesmith licence is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Payments are processed by Polar.sh as merchant of record, which also issues your licence key. You enter the key in the application to activate it, and you can move it to another Mac from the customer portal. If something goes wrong with your purchase or the app does not work as expected, contact our support team and we will work with you to resolve it, including refund requests where appropriate.
Your Recordings
You own everything you record and export with Glidesmith. Recordings are created and stored on your Mac, and we never receive a copy. You are responsible for having the right to record and share whatever appears on your screen, including other people's content, personal data and anything covered by a confidentiality agreement.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Glidesmith is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While we work hard to make recording and export reliable, including crash-safe writing during capture, we cannot guarantee that no recording will ever be lost or corrupted. Keep backups of recordings that matter to you.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Glidesmith, its developers, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the application, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Third-Party Software
Glidesmith includes open-source components under permissive licences such as MIT and Apache-2.0. A list of these components and their licence notices is available on request from [email protected]. Media encoding and decoding use Apple's system frameworks.
Updates
We may release updates to improve functionality, performance, and security. New versions are published on our website for you to download and install. A licence covers every new version, including features added after your purchase.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Glidesmith after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
